Chamelean (sp?) GTi that came in

Thats a sweet looking truck I would be worried about scratching something, not everyday to see even a hint of a system in a vehicle like that though so pretty cool. The work looks to be pretty sweet too, specially the tweeter mounts. You couldn't convince the guy to do a blow through???? lol

Oh and don't worry I didn't miss the rest of the cars in that shop, DAAAAAYUMN that sure is some nice stuff sitting up on those lifts, where is this shop again??? lol

This is actually my boss's truck. His wife owns a wine store so I am building a wine rack in the bed as well. I think its supposed to go in a magazine when I'm done.

Yeah we mostly work on high ends & exotics

Performance Outfitters Group in Stamford CT

Course you guys gotta be on the absolute other end of CT from where I am lol, not that I could afford you guys though. Looks like a sweet shop and some really good work. Guess I am one of the oddballs where I find more interest in looking at the nicely done classic truck instead of all the exotics.

The shallow mount Pioneer going beneath the seat I take it? sure should be a nice sounding truck when its all done.

Yeah I barely have room for a sub under that seat, even that pioneer is tight in there. System should be done soon, I've only been working on it in between other cars that come in.

Head units are usually a problem in those classic cars because modern decks don't fit in the stock location, and nobody wants to cut the dash to make them fit. Some people cut them, or install a modern deck under the dash, or run a classic type dual knob HU with modern electronics concealed.

That's why I asked. I was just curious how they decided to solve that delema.

I know I have seen a lot of them put the HU into the glove box and keep the factory unit in place in the dash. I am honestly hoping it will be something like that or mounted below the dash somewhere, the truck is sweet and doesn't look like it is near original but keeping enough that I think it would be a shame to cut up the dash. Besides the dash is already painted and would **** to repaint it.

Second thought, might be able to fab up a clean over head piece to hold the hu.
