I am in no way saying this is a bad or inferior sub, it's just I am ASSUMING that amp pushes over 2kw and I know that A will have more trouble taking it than the XXX will. [QUOTE="marleyskater420, post: 350246, member: 549075"] Hey whatup. That Planet Audio puts how out much? Like 2kw+ right? The A just can't handle that much power, so that elminates that sub. Unless, what does that amp do @ 4ohms? The 18 needs a BIG ported box, and a still big sealed box. I would try the 15XXX. Honestly, after hearing both, I would say they really are pretty close is "deepness" and both pound like none other. Go with a 15XXX, sounds SO close in deepness, and is pretty close in SPL. eDA sealed or ported, they like small boxes, but your amp might be too much power, Im not familiar with those amps. The A will take bout 1-1.2kw from what I have taken from people familiar with it. I personally don't have any playtime with one. XXX-the 18 takes up way too much room.Simple. I have played with a 18XXX and 15XXX. 18xxx box- 8cubes 30hz. 15xxx box-6 cubes 34hz/2 cubes sealed. In my ported box the 15 sounded as deep as the 18,I could tell when I would play late night tip and the sound would emphasize on the same notes.
