Alright guys this is the situation. 18 SX, 97' Ford Probe, and dimensions of 34"W 29"D 15"H. I'm having trouble finding a good ported box with the space available. Can someone please help me. I'm using http://www.accelerator-pedal.com/ported-box.asp. I would like to have 6.5@32 but I don't see it happening. Can anyone with BBP6 help me out with maybe a smaller box that still will peak good.

I do not wanna go sealed. But, if I have to..... I WON'T . LAWLERSKATES.

You're not going to get 6.5 cubes tuned at 32Hz with proper port area. Also I'm truly doubting you'll fit 29 inches of depth in that car without doing an in-car build.

dude these subs sealed do pretty well actually, they have an exellent low end

Nope, But thats because I havent even driven my car anywhere since I put it in, my tag's expired lol

OMG. I got it!!!!

Net Volume: 6 cubic feet

Tuning Frequency: 33 Hz

Port Width: 5.25 inches

Port Area: 70.875 Square Inches

Port Length: 22.25 inches

External Dimensions: 34 wide x 15 tall x 30 deep

I know I can squeze that extra inch in depth, But do you guys think 70^2 inches of port is enough?

oh yeah def and port noise is really as bad as people make it out to be, its not really easily heard over music, i had a xxx12 with only like 26in² of port and the only time i heard it was when i played test tones under like 35hz, and this was in a reg cab truck not like it was way in the back of a an suv or in a trunk where it really wouldnt be heard.

For a 6 cube box, 70 inches of port is just about right...you shouldn't have a problem there.

6 cubes may be a little small though for the SX, they like larger enclosures.

Also, as a side note, the box you described would be right about 32Hz, not 33, though the difference will not be audible anyways.

That's what I'm worried about, Is that box too small. Should I just run it sealed in those dimensions? I really want it as loud as I can get it, It's already gonna be struggling with the shitty electrical and 5 guage wire. yea good luck with your search man. I would either do an in car build and say screw the rest of the back of the car or sell it and buy a 15" SX. I'm using a 7.25 cu box for my app and I think it should fit in just fine. Also should be pretty **** loud too

I actually am bumping away right now. Using my old mofo 15 in 4@32 box. But I'm not sure whether I wanna take out the lil backseats it has. hmm iono idc right now either.
