18" RE MT reconed to 18" FI BTL?

Hey Fi reps and enthusiasts,

I think I read somewhere (on Fi's forum) that there's real no advantage in doing the recone...

I don't feel like setting up yet another car audio forum account and see a whole bunch of Fi folks posting here....

The reason for the recone would be to get additional Xmax to hit the lows better...

As a side benefit, I've always wanted to try a recone also...

Thoughts???

Anyone know the recone price?

Can you pick custom spider configs?

I'll make sure to do some testing before reconing....

ummm...You wouldnt be changing the MT to a BTL...motors are different.

yes you can, i did that to my mt when it was an 18

Umm if I recall correctly, the softs parts are the same on the Mt and the BTL.

They are also close to atomic APX soft parts, im using them on my MT right now.

if its a mt,use mt recones,if its a btl,use btl recones imho.

You won't recone your MT with BTL soft parts, it will be custom soft parts i believe.

it will serve no advantage to change you MT to a BTL, as far as soft parts go. But yes if something fails, you can get a recone from Fi for your MT.
