18" Fi BL vs. Audioque hdc3 15

ive only got about 5 cubic feet to work with, and i can wire either of them both to either 1500 watts, or 2000 watts. which would be the loudest? im mostly looking for spl, but its a daily driver. its going in the trunk of a honda civic.

id say hdc3 becase the 18 bl wont do so well in 5 cube gross....put the hdc3 in a 4 cube box with 2000 watts on it and call it a day

I had a post on FI bl vs AQ HDC3. Lots of good opinions, seems like a majority lean towards AQ.

with the space you have I'd do the HDC in 4cubes @ 38Hz with 2k of power....

how would the single hdc3 15" (the AQ sub will be on 2000 watts and in about a 4.5 cubic foot box) compare to 2 15" kicker CVR's on 1000 watts in a 5.5 cubic foot box (ported at about 32 htz.)

HDC3 15. the BL 18" will not like a box that small, unless you seal and then the AQ would win hands down. if you look at the 15" BL, then I say the BL.

DJ from Audioque recommends 6 cubes for the 18" HDC318 with aluminum coil.
