Right now ive got a 18" bl in a 8.8 cube box tuned to 32.5 and wired to 2 ohms getting only 800rms. In a month or so im getting a gp3000d pro which is 1500w at 2 ohms and 3000 at 1 ohms... im going to do the big 3 but am keeping my stock 130A alternator and dont really want to get a 2nd battery, so i doubt i will run more than 2000 watts.

I also want to upgrade my sub too... what do you think i would be better doing, getting a 2nd Bl and wiring it to a final load of 1 ohm and giving each sub 1000 watts or getting a D2 btl, wiring it to 1 ohm and giving it 2000 watts? If i got 2 BL's the box wouldnt be more than 10 cubes so each one would only have 5 ft^3. The Btl would stay in the box i have. I want a setup that will be really good on the lows.

Im thinking the 2 BL's would be better because of more cone area but the btl would be a lot cheaper to do.

Does the btl need more than 2kw to get loud?

Also, is the high xmax coil option for the btl more of a sq option or what?

squeeze a couple more cubes and maybe the BL's. BTL might be better with the current box on 2k than the other option unless you can get some more airspace.
what if the Bl's had 6 cubes each?

What do you think about

6 is on the limits of what we recommend for the BL. But a pair of BLs will be louder than a single BTL... and easier on the wallet.

BTLs will work in that small of a space though.
