18" BL and PHD5000

i originally had it ran at 4ohms so approximately 1500 watts but i got bored yesterday and rewired it to 1 ohm... boly shit did it make a difference from 1500 o 3000 watts it was insane. i love it but i know it cant handle that all day. i ran the wiring to the outside of the box so i reran it back to 4 but it was awesome!!

I agree, but this is doubling power to the same speaker;

a somewhat different and rather controlled situation. As long

as the amp specs are true, 3db should be pretty darn close.

How well did it take the 3k? I have been running 1500 to my BL's but thinking off bumping it up to 2k

it doesnt like songs like late nite tip or white girl slowed but besides that it was doing well
