Well I really want to own my first 18 and give her a try out in my car, but I don't know if i'm going to have the space. 1994 ford thunderbird, My trunk is tiny so i'm thinking i'll take out the back seat and just throw it right there. I'll probably be getting a 18" SX recomended 4 sealed, 6.5 ported.

Measurements: 47 x 20 x 24

I took an inch off everything just to be safe because it was hard to measure it perfectly. What do you think? Doable? Crazy? Will I go deaf? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

So you have a 18" incher in your girlfriends trunk. Pound? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If you want to give up your back seat to gain output, then go for it.

its not too bad, the box is only about 3.8 with 2 4" ports. alot louder than the type r i had in there
That is just stupid.

You dont have near enough space, or near enough port for that beast of a speaker //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

6.5^3 after sub and port displacment tuned to 29Hz firing up, it cancelled out a lot but it was still really loud, especially when I was giving it full power off of a modded 1501D. The box was about 12.3H x 38W x 38.5L, its about the biggest you can ever fit in the trunk of a T-Bird without building it in the trunk. The only other thing I could have done is make it another .5inch wider. I had to flushmount the sub and put a piece of cardboard over it when I slid the box in so it wouldn't scratch the surround, and I had to remove the cover at the rear of the trunk and the trunk seal for it to fit. It was pretty sweet just to open the trunk and see this hudge ass box and some massive woofer chillin there.

If you do it, definately tune higher, 32Hz. I had like 100sq in of port area or something so I would drop that too, maybe ~75. Thats gonna help with the box size alot because of port displacment. If I had the chance to make a second box then it would have been awesome. Had to sell it though cuz I fell short on funds.
