-memories- //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

i remember i was in a friends boat going through this canal (dont ask) a few years ago. and from being to many people the boat went under , bow first. so i ended up swimming ~15 feet to the edge with everything in my pockets. my phone (old nokia , dont remember the model #) was ****ed for the rest of the night. set it to dry between some towels, woke up , the phone worked and it seemed it got better reception too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

so i stayed with nokia's. i guess coke has too much shit in it...

I just got a phone off craigslist the other day.

Nokia 3120 for $40 bux and it came with a sim card that i'll probably sell for like 15.

sux about yours tho

take the battery out ASAP, the charge from the battery would short it out. wait about a week and you might get it to turn back on long enough to get your numbers out. then you buy a new phone...

take out the batter sim card or w.e you can.

put it in the stove at the lowest temp possible I mean like 90 degrees. BAM dries it out like crazy.

works like a charm.

Pull out the battery.

Pull out the sim card.

TRY AND START IT WITHOUT THE BATTERY. This will drain all live capacitors in the phone.

Run DISTILLED water over and through the phone. Submerge it even. This is a US Navy electronics salvage procedure, it cleans the stuff in seawater or coke out of the components. It's gotta be pure water though. Tap water won't do. Nor will soft water and I bet filtered water won't either.

Put it in the oven between 90 and 100 degrees to dry. Leave it overnight.

After that if it doesn't work then coke > phone

i took a hose to my computer while it was running to try and get it to die for the warranty...... didn't do a god **** thing, but make the circuit breaker shut it off until it was dry...

you'd be suprised how resiliant printed circuits are to water damage....

the battery's what would kill it... remove the battery and let it dry

I had to walk from my car to a gas station in the worst rain ive ever experienced in my life after it left me stranded. The phone poured out water when i took it out, so out went the battery and sim and i used a blow drier for about an hour and she came back to life. Razr FTW.
