1501D or equivalent?

The MTX 1501D caught my eye because it seems like a pretty solid, powerful amp, and when the warranty runs out you can modify it to push even more power if you decide to. Only problem is they are hard to find!

I want to use it to push a pair of IDQ12's (or something similar) at first, and have the option of going bigger and louder in the future. (Because yes, 1501D is a bit more than a pair of IDQ's would need.)

What would be a good, reasonably priced (~$250-300) amp to go with for these kind of expectations? $300 is what 1501D's seem to be going for on ebay when they show up. I think I saw a pretty big hifonics amp for $259 somewhere, but I don't know anything about them.

Hifonics are Overrated.....everyone knows that its been tested and proven....I believe my Ampman revo 1500.1 can be moodded to run below 1 ohm and take 16 volts. Pushes well over 2 kilowatts. Its the same amp as the 35.1 RE audio used to sale...They pop up everyonce in a while for under 300....Check sounddomain thers one on sale there I believe...
