ok i can either go an SX 15 ported or 12 XXX sealed?

i want the louder of the 2, so would it be louder to spend the less money on an SX and then spend money on a ported box or go with the XXX and just buy a sealed box?? both would be ran by and ED NINE.1 so which way would be best to go and get loudest?

You ask A LOT of these kinds of questions it seems.

"should i go with this sub or that, etc." Do a little research on your own and with half a brain you'll be able to answer most your questions yourself.

It really is common sense if you did a little research on ported boxes and cone size. You are looking at about 3 db more because the box is ported and then you are looking at 2-3 db's more b/c the cone area is significantly more. Which one do you think is going to be louder?

As for the sq, the xxx is a very nice sql woofer where as the sx is geared more towards spl. On top of tht the sx is ported and the xxx is sealed. (I know a low tuned box wll have great sq but what are the odds he does a low tuned ported box for an sx.) Now, which do you think is going to have better sq?

Mellow out. All i'm saying is he should do some of his own research. Unless I am tinking of someone completely different, wmstate has been around for about a month and has asked many questions very similar to the one above. As well as many which sub is the best threads. With a little research of his own he will know more and be better off.

BTW, I think I helped him more than anyone else in this thread (not trashing anyone else that posted here). Some people just told him which would be louder and I actually told him how to figure it out himself.
