they are comparable but honestly the mag blows the q away in pretty much everything but its more expensive sooo....

at least in my opinion the mag is much better

Which would get louder ported with about 1500 watts rms? Also which will sound better?
i think the mag and the q together are louder.

it may have a edge on sq but i highly doubt it blows away the q in pretty much everything, and the only thing u got right is the fact that its more expensive, alot more expensive if you look at the regular price

1) It is somehow funny the number of people that think this question can be answered with the tidbits of information provided in WhiteIce's original question.

2)Which sub would get louder depends on lots of things.

like- what vehicle it's in, how big the box is, the tuning of the box, the thickness of the material you build it out of, is it fiberglass?, what type of amp?, what's your wiring setup?, etc etc.

Truth is there is really no way to tell for sure which sub would be louder or sound better in your car without testing them both...both subs require different size enclosures with different tunings, and the SI Mag's sound freaking AWESOME in a sealed enclosure, porting an SI mag is almost doing it an injustice because of how good it sounds sealed.

3) If you ask which will get louder you probably don't give a shit about sound quality, you probably just want to ride around with a stock head unit and a line level converter and your Bose factory stereo and "knock like the rest of the big boys in town" so why even asK?

4) But for the sake of arguement, the SI sub is better.

actually i was talking about each in their ideal boxes and such with 1500 watts of real power. An fyi i got components before i got anything, so i say stfu an dont say shit unless you have shit to back your statement up. Cause as of now the "big boy" in town has 2 15' L7s ported. An i do care about SQ cause i know the Mag is an SQ sub that gets loud. An if you read my original post i asked what would sound better aswell as get louder. Because if i just wanted to get loud id get a BTL.
