15" XXX Motor

That's caused by cheap glue, the main reason why Onyx rejected about 90% of their motors way back. The glue wasn't strong enough to hold the weight of the motor. I've seen several top plates that slid off-center from the heat or from shipping. Either way, it's garbage now...

whether it's fixable or not.....djviolent is getting $$ back, and im gonna work on ups to get my share back too...

marcus get back to me man, im waiting on that trackign #...if u cant ifnd it ill call ups and try and get it.....it'd be easier if u have it laying around (it'llbe on the box)

UPS has a bad habit off just throwing product around. Especially when it weighs a a good bit. the just push it around and let it drop on the ground. Its absolutelly terrible, they have no regard for other ppl's property.

not to steal the post with my first post here but...

just received my 2005 12 inch XXX from ebay

i am somewhat of a novice and dont have much experience with the XXX at all. so i will try to explain the best i can

where the magnent "comes together" i notice that it is not completely flush. I am talking about an overhang of very little. I am not exactly sure how a subwoofer is put together or made really. but when isaw this post i couldnt help but wonder if i had the same problem?

i am a novice, so i might just be sounding stupid but just wondering.

i could get pictures if needed.

If it works and there is no rubbing, no worries. Sometimes during assembely stacked magnets get slightly misaligned.

update....... working on getting a repair quote from either RE or Fi...dave hasnt responded to my IMs....so if scott gets back to me first it looks like Fi will be the winner of the "who gets to repair and recone this xxx" game.... once i get a quote form them i should be able to get ups to compensate....soon as i get a quote im putting the claim in. which will hopefully be by tomarrow....i just want all the info together when i file it....either way marcus is gonna get his $$ back....i just hope Fi gets back to me soon....or maybe hopefully dave will respond back to my IMs.....
