15" RL-p excursion? grill?

I've got a 15" RL-p on order that will be running on a Viper d1200.1, my box is about 2.9cubes ported.

I would LIKE to put a grill over the sub to protect it(how do you all feel about grills?) but I don't know if I'd be able to depending on the excursion of the sub when it's really moving.

i think this would be your best bet. i was thinking of getting a set for my RL-p 15.

easy on the gain, thats more than enough power for that sub

If it's a new RL=P it's D4 though, so it'd be seeing much lower power than the Viper is capable of.

i definately recommend a grill. i had a bowling ball in a bag in my trunk which i thought i had secured. it got loose and rolled right into my rl-p. suprisingly it only put a small notch into it and it still sounds remarkable.
