15" Nightshade vs 9512G

I have a 9512G and am considering a nightshade 15". My amp is an autotek mm4000.1 it puts out 4k at 2ohms. The 9512 is dual 1.5 and the nighshade is Dual 2. So neither one will bring it down to 2 ohms. I just want to know which woofer will sound and perform better in my hatchback mustang. I have about 3 cu ft to work with after displacement and port.

So the Nigthshade would be ran at 4 ohms?

IMO I'd change amps before changing the sub.

Well the amp will do 1400 rms X2 at 2 ohms so it would get about 2800

whats wrong with this amp? it works very well with the 9512

you don't even have enough room for a nice ported box for a 15, this is an easy decision

you don't even have enough room for a nice ported box for a 15, this is an easy decision

I thought that 4000.1D was 4k@1 ohm?

If you get talked out of using that DD sub, I'm sure you will have no problem selling it.

did you factor in bracing and double-baffle into your displacements??? if you didn't you could be well under that 3cu.ft. number

See that might work then. thight squeeze in the back but i think i can make it work.

I dont know why but i dont see DD's moving a lot here lately. I seen the 9512 on sale here and they just dont go. Only ones i see moving are selling real cheap
