hey guys,

Will a 15" fi q sound horrible in a 1.88 cubic foot sealed box. I know its reccomended that it goes in 2-2.6 cubic feet but is there any way I could just use the box I already have? can I do that thing where i stuff something inside? It will be getting about 1500 watts at 1 ohm if that matters.

Thanks,

Mike

yes you can. if you due just stuff it with polyfill about 1lb per cubic foot. so 1.8lbs of polyfill should be good. you will just have a more of a peaky response curve higher up..

the box being small will effect how the sub plays the low notes... but might as well try it and see if your happy, before building a whole new box.

Oh, and if you have the power, i'd much rather have the Q

All you really need is a good router, circle jig, and some clamps. I have Lowes or Home Depot cut the wood to the sizes I need, then trim if needed because the store dont always cut exact.
