I know this has been discussed already, but where do you stand between the hdc3 and last model btl?

Im not DONE testing them as of yet so i will stay out of this one. The way i use subs might not be the way the next person uses them. Every Sub/Driver is application depended. When i conclude the rest of the testing ill let you all know how i feel about them.

1) I hate the hdc noise i was getting

2) i did like the upper end response of the hdc and it was a fun sub over all

3) the btl lacked upper end, but then again, i had it in 4.5 cubes at 33hz which made it a low end monster in my explorer. i think doing 3.75 at a little higher tuning would give me a nice peak up top

4) btl had much better lows. i know i was tuned to 38hz, but everyone said you get good low end with a 40hz tuning //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif...i didnt.

5) the btl has a crazy upper end response in some peoples installs (they seem to go towards the smaller boxes with a higher tuning)

6) if i had to do it again id take the btl

7) the hdc is a **** good bang for the buck sub

Hahahaha.
Well what i am trying to say is that the C3 build and the FI build are 2 different builds all together. The HDC build was 4 10's @ 40. Where the FI build is 2 15's in 9 cubes @ 35.

Power is 2 SAZ3000d's at 1 ohm each unstrapped testing then testing strapped.

Im getting 2 HDC 15's with aluminums and a set of 18's with aluminums.

Both will be hopefully built Per DJ with the "American" Hd3 and or 95 series Spider Packs installed.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Then i will be able to make a more far comparison.
