15" Cvx Vs 15" Sx

anyone have experience with both of these subs, what are ur thoughts,

what are the pros and cons on the 2 of these

and type of box does the CVX like???

SX's are nice, i know the SX can handle 1200+ easy, but dont know about CVX never used it, the RE would have a warranty, but CVX would be cheaper off ebay

I'm biased, but I'm pretty sure they arn't even the same level of sub...

its hard to say, havent really did much testin wit the cvx, but i kno the sx didnt like the power i was givin it and couldnt take the abuse. and its juss a stinky sub. but i'd go for the cvx. juss after i had the sx15, i juss wasnt impressed wit it.

one thing i DO know- my sx 15s are louder than my strokers were in the same enclosure, and you sure as heck cant beat re's customer service!

The cvx's are supposed to handle the same power as the l7s.. With that being said ide take the cvx's any day over the sx's. My l7s seem to take anything I throw at them, and are constant asking for more...

i have a cvx and miss my type R....anyday now i should be getting it back. ive never used the SX but from a competion stand point i heard that they dont get as loud as many others and musically dont sound to great. re lovers dont hate the shit outta me.....type R pwns them both and are cheaper

That's funny, one of my installers just swapped out his TypeRs12"s for two of the new L7 12"s.....huge difference. im sure kicker is great at customer service, been to some of their training when we dealt kicker gear @ DeCa Autosound.

however, i have dealt with re, also, and they have always bent over backwards to help me out.

im not "hating" on anyone...

both the R and the cvx were in a 4 cube aero port box, it may not be the best box for the cvx but after testing its 1 db behind at the headrest and in the kick....my box isnt magic its just built right and for the headrest. i peak at 40hz thats quite low...and since the R is louder and sounds better i would say that im not buying it for the name but for the results. i got nothing agianst kicker or any other company for that matter, im not jumping on any bandwagan. i use what is loudest in my price range and the R happens to be it.

Try some different box designs for the cvx...
