of course one would hit harder than the other, all things being equal...the 15 has a huge cone area disadvantage. and thats about it.

Same power, same box, bigger sub ... there is no question to be asked here.

Yep, cone area advantage goes to the 18. You're looking at an Sd of 1210 cm^2 on the 18 and 810 cm^2 on the 15. The 18 is like having a 15 and a 12" sub. Go with the 18. 18's are sexier.

Not to mention if you already have that box, it is perfect for the 18. . .

if you have the adequate space for an 18, 18>15 everytime, when talking about the same sub
