15 or 18 for HT for $150?

I actually just built a HT sub from a 13oV2 sub from elemental designs. It was B-stock, which means they have a cosmetic defect and were only $100. Turns out the sticker on the magnet was scratched, lol! I've got mine tuned to about 25hz and she's getting 350RMS. It's a down firing sub that I ended up using spike feet to keep her high enough that the excursion doesn't hit carpet. Sounds amazing!

yeah they sound really good dont get me wrong, my only beef is how they dont stand behind their products, customer service.

Good price by the way, i saw some sold on ebay for $70, b-stock from ed

^yeah, some things about the company sort of creep my out but it was a good deal and it works very well. I also made the enclosure out of birch wood since it would be a piece of furniture. Here is a pic showing the grain stained before the many clear coats.

hey im currently looking to do the same thing. I'm still debating between the 300 and 500 bash amp. where did you find it for 150$ like you said? thats a sick deal. I saw it on parts express for 230$ and that's a little much for me. I like the looks of the MB quart i think that's what I'll most likely go with.

I just picked up this amp http://cgi.ebay.com/VELODYNE-DPS-12-AMPLIFIER-FOR-ACTIVE-SUB-HOME-AUDIO_W0QQitemZ270285636300QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item270285636300&_trkparms=72%3A570|39%3A1|66%3A2|65%3A12|240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14. It's fawking huge, and it's pushing my little 10" old school punch sub way harder than it likes. I had planned to get the 500w bash, but I missed the sale, so I picked this up for like $120 shipped. It doesn't have auto on or anything like that, but I emailed the company, and they said they'd send me the wired remote for free. I think I got a good deal, especially when I see that the sub/amp/box combo this amp came in retails for like $600.

Can't wait to get home and get a good box built, I'm using a slot port 1.25cube box @ 32Hz. It's not too shabby thouhgh, and keeping that little sub alive:D
