15 L7 tuning

I have a 9.0 cubic foot box after displacement for my 2 15" L7's. I made the box so I could use aeroports for it. Im gonna use 4, 4inch diameter ports and I was wondering what what be a good tuning for SPL. Im using it as a daily driver and im currently running it selaed. It hits really hard and actually sounds really good doing it.

They actually hit really hard with every song that I have played. Rap and some rock. I was wondering if porting it will still make it so I would have good frequency response like im getting with the sealed. People say to port these......Will it make a HUGE difference?

Just curious as to which frequency I should tune to, while I mainly listen to all rap. I'm currently running a planet audio TT-2250D amp. If i turned it into a crx style box, would it be louder than ports firing upward? Thanks.

Porting will deff make a difference with these subs. It sounds like you should aim for the 35hz range. It will deff be a lot louder. Might end up losing a bit of those hard hitting low notes you have come to love but there's only 1 way to find out...
