What the hell would I be playing in my car at 20Hz? I save that stuff for my HT They peak at 31hz in a box tuned to 38Hz, so they have no problem playing below tuning. I bolded the part that is the REAL problem. You've never heard one, yet make assumptions about it. I make it a rule to never offer advice on something I've never personally heard as then it's just a foolish opinion at best and does nothing to help the person who asked the question If you talk to DJ at AQ he'll tell you that the HDC was designed to sound good playing all types of music, and it also happens to get very loud if pushed hard. I believe that's more a byproduct of him trying to make the subs bulletproof for inexperienced users who tend to blow stuff up out of negligence. There's a few guys posting in this thread that have heard my setup and can attest to the ability of the HDC's to play rock, blues, R&B, etc... and sound VERY good doing it. Not bloated or bottom heavy just clean bass that blends with my front stage. They've also heard them get a tad loud
