it can no doubt be done spend $500 on cement and mdf. then spend $50 on a cheap headunit. people in extream have burped 50s off headunit power.

It did 149 legal on the dash with one ap1500.

I did 143.2 on the dash with 500 invested, nothing was tuned or positioned right. Its a lot louder now. In a chevette hatch btw. Guy in town has four audiopipe 12s and an ap 1500d doing 147.7 on the stand... out of an s10

I did 145 for about 500.00. I'll be honest though, in a burp box, you could easily do it in a crx. Wait until some idiot sells a nice sub for nothing on craigslist. Do the same for a 1500+ watt amp. Right now you might have 300 dollars invested. Buy some big aeros off of here. Now there's maybe another 50.00. Buy your wood and build a crx box. There is another 50.00. Buy your wiring and a cheap head unit that uses usb another $200.00. There is your 150 after you learn how to find your peak freq and tuning, shave off the port until the two overlap and bam. $600.00 competition system.

I did ~147 in an SUV with a 18" sub i built myself (~$200), and a bxi2607d (~$300). Box tuned around 35hz.

Hatch or SUV shouldn't be too hard. Get like 6 of those cheap hifonics 12"s and an ap1500/3000.

I did 144.3 on the dash in the wifes SUV with two 15" Memphis subs tuned to 40hz (song push that N, push that Hoe) and an old autotek AMX100.2. I had less than $600 in everything.

It averaged a 143.6 throughout the season in stock 0-600 class.

Local guy is pushing close to 150 with like $300 of Pioneer/Wal-Mart shit in a gutted CRX...

I've seen a trio of $30 bottom of the line Powerbass 10's ran off a 4 channel amp hit high 147's in a crx...it's too easy.

we talking just subs and amp or whole setup? last yr i did 1 aq 18 (280 old price i think) and a zx1500.1was used paid 300 (145.1) with an aq2200d was used as well basically traded kicker amp (149.2) and aq 3500d new (150.4)

Well I did a build for a guy 00 tahoe. 18" fi btl $375, saz1500d $315, box build for him $175. True it was $865 total but he did a 147.5 on the tl at the dash. If you did it yourself (the box) you could do it for right at your limit. He is dropping into 10 volts, so i imagine when he gets his ele right it will be higher.
