what makes your horrible taste in movies more accurate than mine and makes your opinion fact, and mine an opinion?

Based on many reviews and just the overall acting in the movie would state the fact of it being a least considered a decent movie. I was not trying to be superior but, when you come in fists loaded acting like an asshat (although this is the dome) it deems the punch to be thrown back.

I've seen many reviews, the majority being 3-4 out of 5, that doesn't scream great movie to me, it says it was ok-good. and the acting was decent, it wasn't great again. I didn't like the storyline of it, and I found it slow and boring. Me personally, I must have higher standards than you I suppose.

I do for the most part but when it comes to "horror" movies this is about as good as it gets acting wise.

Idk about that, @misfit138 might disagree with that, and he knows horror flick better than both of us I would say.

I thought it was decent not the best but far from the worst.... But then again Blair Witch to date is the movie that scared me the most. Lets remember before u laugh I would have been around 14 and really bought into the whole "its real" story. Trully scared the crap out of me the first time but after I found out it was not real I could watch it and laugh ohhh how I miss the younger days...

Hostel is in my top list but involves lots of blood to really get across the point. If a movie can do it without gore in my book it is a winner.

The mark of an actual "great" movie is if people will be renting it, buying it, and talking about it decades after its release. Will this movie fall in this category? HELL NO

I watched the trailer to 1408..looked pretty good. I think truthfully 2012 Was the scariest for me. Anything that makes me check Spaceweather.com and the USGS earthquake mag 2.5+ websites everyday and cringe when a CME fires off this way...had to be good.

Mehhh for some reason the hype just did not fit the movie itself... I mean I dnt know why acting was decent but the graphis were just kinda unreal to me. I just expected top knotch everything from such and $$$ and hyped movie. But it did make u think I will say that. I saw it on starz for the first time and was like wtf they already made a cheap knock off off it?? Wife explain this this was the OG..

1408 is an awesome thriller movie. It just makes you think and that is the only type of movie i like.
