12v and 14v

ok- title is messed up but not sure on how to put it. 1st i had a autotek 1400 that i sold cause i figure maybe it was too big for my car, cause of a constant whine noise that i was getting. so i down graded to a memphis 500 mclass and wouldn't u know it, the same **** thing. everyone told me it was ground and this and that....so i unhook the mclass and hooked back up my old coustic 401db.

i know its all confuesing and all, but i need some help

the 12v and 14v reading were taken from where the wire's connect to the amps....

WTF. it should be around 12V if the car's off and around 14v is the cars on. The Whine means u probably have a bad ground somewhere. head unit/ amp/ battery/ anything else.
