12's...RE-MX, RE-XXX, IDMax, TC-3000? For SQL

how much power you got that tc-3000 looks nice but also huge I mean almost 50lbs wow not a bad price though but you will need wellllll over 1000 watts to power that monster. I've heard good thing about the FI,Q 12" in sealed box with about 1000-1500 watts should sound nice

New amp too! I will probably get another Kicker.... 1200 or 1500. I had a 1200 too before brand new and sold it because I didn't think I would ever change. Don't you Love it!

Xmax doesnt really matter that much, especially on a sealed box. In a sealed application your sub will not see max Xmax in most cases. the Tc 3000 is a hell of a nice woofer, and is supposed to sound great sealed
Umm... xmax and SD are the limiting factor in output for sealed enclosures. With the right power and enclosure, it's very easy to reach xmax in a sealed enclosure.

It actually screams ported box, high BL, low Q, however, like the TC-5200 it has so much that it tends to be peaky (very loud at tuning), especially with higher tuning. This translates into very loud SPL'ish bass which is why we recommend using it in a sealed application for SQ or a lower ported tuning or a small box with PR's

I have been on the horn with you guys all day (just got off). Seems now that my box is actually 1.5 cubes instead of 1.0 I am screwed on the 3000. I wanted to just drop one in but the others won't fit depth-wise and this one needs a .50-.75 sealed box. The last guy on the phone said I could stack MDF on the inside to reduce the size or he offered to make me a box with a radiator. WTH is that? He said that would play the best out of any combo. I just wanted a simple swap but it ain't happening!

Since it looks like I may need a box for any of the above I never did get an answer on which of those listed IS the best SQL driver.

WHICH IS THE BEST SQL DRIVER WITH SQ BEING FIRST?

fill your box with foam chips , then measure exactly what volume of chips it took to fill your box, if your off by much it will effect final performance.

only takes 5 minuets and then your sure.

OPINION BASED ANSWERS, you will only find young padawan.
and a few experienced based if he is luky,

all the drivers he is looking @ are excellent, and if the sub he goes with in the end doesnt sound exactly like he want , he can tweak the exact sound of it with small enclosure modifications.(+ or - a few cubic inches = + or - a lil transient response, punchyness, smoothness, power handling etc etc)

quit worrying and buy the sub that has the best specks for the best price.

i bet $40 no-one will be able to tell what driver exactly is being used if the sub is xed over below 60hz, and in a finely tuned box for the car it will live in.

(subwoofer anyone?)
