1200wrms available for a 12

I just found my 12 inch Fi BL basically on fire in my trunk, so i'm in the market for a comparable 12 that would work well off of 1200w in a 2.25 cube box tuned to 32 hz.

I also have some investigating to do to find out what caused it to blow...

I haven't been in the subwoofer forums in a long time, so i don't really know what the new boner at these specs is, so suggestions would be appreciated!

maybe an RE SX.. if you set the gain right u could probably put 1500 rms daily to it

How did u blow a BL w/ 1200 watts?? I'm guessing playing well below tuning and some pretty severe clipping would cause that.

 

RE SX, IA DR, AA Havoc, SSA ICON, etc... There are a ton in this general power range.

i had been playing it at these same settings and volume for almost a year. i am clueless as to what caused it.

and i don't think i was playing anything insanely low.. it was Stay Fly by three 6 mafia...

i wouldn't think the heat today would have caused it either. it's not like it's the first time being hot outside.

Clipping from the amp will cause sum serious heat, especially if its been damaging the sub for sum time now. Did u properly set up the gains on the amp??

DC LVL 4 would work...maybe lvl 5 coils if your dangerous
