Small cut on a spot on the surround from where my drill slipped. But its siliconed up.

I ordered the 12" recone kit, and thats the dustcap it came with.

So you did the recone yourself..... the RE "dustcaps" go over the surround...

Well thats the one RE sent me.

It doesnt fit over the surround.

Oh well.

I guess they messed it up somehow. I ordered it during the US Amps takeover/buy/whatever....

Although I have to agree that this is a messy job and the tinsels are WAYY too long.

I think that is the dustcap RE sent him, seeing as the 06 XXX caps are smaller diameter I guess thats what he got.

I called RE, ordered a 12" xxx recone kit, they sent it out.

Unless there is 2 REs.......

And now that you mention it those tinsel leads are really long.

And that old glue on the basket is from the previous owner.

I bought a motor and basket a few months ago, then ordered a recone.
