I would not preorder from eD, but if you want them, wait until they are released. I would go with the Brahma instead.

So this is what I'm thinking...

Only way to get the W7's is if I get the pair of them to run 1.5ohm to my amp. If I get a price around 600-$700, I'll take them first.

If I can't get a price around there, then my second option is to decide the following...

Pair of 13Ov2's or the 12" Brahma, both setups will end up around $300-$350.

Or, should I sell my amp and get a new amp? Not really wanting to, but if I can find a good deal on an amp that will power a single 12W7, and is less than $325 I'll do it.

Got an e-mail back and this is what the guy said...

Hey Brian. Congratulations turning 18. Well, I will tell you what, this is really hard for me, but you seem like a very nice guy. Since you turned 18, it would be an honor for you to have some thumpin' in your car. I really appreciate your concern about money wise. I am willing to take out $100 from the two subs as a pair. Instead of paying $800 for both, how does $700 sound? This would be my gift to you. If you like the idea, please gladly email or call me back. Thanks for your time and interest again.

 

PS - I don't have the manual or boxes that I did have because I was doing some spring cleaning and didn't realize I had to sell my subs.

same amp i got pg tantrum 1200.1 its ~1350@3ohms

Anyways, back to topic, I found a local guy selling his Rockford Fosgate 1501BD for $250, so once I go check it out and if it works, I'm going to get that and then get the W7. Good setup for $600 I believe, I should be able to push around 1000W to it now with the Rockford amp. Good deal or should I keep my BEtter Audio 1600M1 amp and get the Brahma?

man i though the magnum d2 was like a good all around sub

u realize ur listening to a person who doesnt even install his own system? and who heard a magnum in a flexing ported box tuned to 40-something hz.

hardhitter - i notice ur in LG im in almaden, if ud like to have a listen to a magnum id be more than happy to let u check it out. i would stay away from brahmas and go with a XXX instead. I only say this because of the many many problems ive heard and still do hear with the sub falling apart.

Capone, I'd love to give your Magnum a listen to before I actually decide. I work all this week, but sunday is when I'm demoing all the other subs, so if you want, you could e-mail me or PM me your cell or home # and I'll call you later today and we can meet up if you'd like.
