i'm currently running it on a dd m1. the q is rated for 1000 rms. this will probably take a little more witht the three stiff spiders maybe 1200-1400 rms. and really for $100 plus shipping it's a **** nice driver. also recone kits from fi are very inexpensive.

What does it sound like? Both the Q and the tc9 are sq drivers, so is it a good marriage between the two? How much did the recone kit cost? What is that massive motor to the left of it? Thanks!

the q and the tc9 are not sq drivers. they are sql drivers with a little more emphasis on sq. it has good tight bass and an awsome transient repsonse. then again if you make a crappy box it will not sound good, you have to rememebr that, a sub is only as good as it's enclosure. i had it in a folded horn t-line. the massive motor on the left is a treo ssx 18" the one on the right is an oz audio matrix power motor with re hc coils //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

probably not. about the same really. you probably woudn't notice any difference between your rlp and this sub.
