12" RL-P vs. 12" MAGNUM D2

How would you compare these 2 in terms of sound quality? I've heard very good things about both of them. Both 12", both powered with 800-1000wRMS in a ported box. Or any other comparisons you can make between the 2. Thanks.

Also, where do you purchase the magnum d2? On the stereo integrity site it says $519!? I thought you people were getting them for 3 something.

in terms of sq both subs are fairly close. i have used the rl-p's and the older mags and both are great. the rl-p works great with about 700 watts rms. the mag will work great with 1000 watts.

Never heard the SS sub but I had the original "CLAW' basket Mag & its the best sub I ever owned.Worked excellent in a small sealed box with as little as 600w I was giving it.

Sooo if I'm gonna be using 6-700 watts go with the rlp, and 1000+ watts go with the magnum?

I'd pick the Mag over the RL-p for either app.
