12" L7 with 650watts

I was just wondering if I would see much difference if I give a single 12" L7 650 watts instead of closer to the 750 max it handles. Thanks for any help.

I wouldn't worry about it. But if whatever amp you are using is rated at 650 watts and really putting out 500, while another amp rated at 750 would really give you 800, then it would make a difference. But if you are giving it 650 instead of 750 then it wouldn't make much of a difference at all.

Well I have been looking all around for matching amps that will push 100x4rms and one to do around 750rms for a single L7. Best I've found have been the infinitys that are like 107x4 for the one and 657 mono rms for the other. I don't want to spend a fortune but want something quality and matching.

You need a monoblock. Around 1000wrms

Ex. KX1200.1

an 06 l7 can handle like 1200 watts contiously..........

It can handle 750 watts not 1200, 1200 is peak.

It's been the same way for a while now.

yea those 06 L7 take a beatin a good 1000 watts would be perfect
