12" IDQv3 vs W6v2 13"

imo - aside from being biased to ID - they are both very very close calls. the jl comes with a nice grill. the id does not. the id can be reconed without glue or any special tools if it is broken for some ungodly reason. the id weighs less and has a shallower mounting depth. the id should have more linear throw, more cone area and more output than the 12w6 because of the tall surround. imo - the id is an all around better speaker than the 12w6 in my opinion, i have a pair of idqV2 15's currently, and i am waiting on the V3 15's to be released. and the id is wai sexier to look at.

hmm i never considered the 15" idqv3, but would my amp power it ok? 15" wont fit unless I do a slanted box in my trunk.. i suppose I could do that. What are the suggest cu ft for sealed boxes for both idq12 and 15. Thanks

Comparing the two subs. Actually also a 12" W6v2. Trying to see if going from the 12" to the 13" will net me much diff. And if the IDQ is still a better way to go.
Working with PDX 1.600 amp which probably puts out 800w or so RMS

Thanks
pdx 1.600 will put out 600. give or take 5 watts. not give or take 200. lol

Im going to be doing almost the same install in a buddies mazda3 hatch. He wanted the w6v2 but told him for the price theres better out there that can sound better. I have a 12" idqv2 an loved the sq an can only imagine what the v3 would sound like. An IMO the idq looks far better an sounds better than the dub6
