12 or 8s?

Thinking about going from my dd9512G to 4 E8s with a pretty bad *** truck box design. The DD is in 3 cubes @ 35hz and the E8s will be in about 3.5 cubes @ 32hz. The DD is on an AQ2200 @ 1 ohm and the e8s will be on 1 ohm as well.

Which will probally be louder for a daily driver? Not looking to put up number on the TL. I know the 8s have much more cone area. Isnt 4 8s about the same amount of cone area as a 15''?

If you can go soundless for a few then wait till the SA-8"s come out. Do it right the first time. = )

D_Man1 has 4 E8s in his Ranger ask him about them..hes had lots of other subs...im sure his input would be appreciated.

I had 3 E8's but my power was less and my box space was hella less lol. It got loud.

They are SA-8's, not E8's. And they are 100 times better.

Thats a good idea. he'll just have to make sure he gets ready for the extra depth.
