When you set gains, do you consider what your amp is rms (not max) at 14v or 12.5?

Hummm... see my amp is rated at 1120w at 12.5 volt and 1400 at 14 volt so do i set

my gain for 1400w at 14 volt ( i know my elec. put outs at least 14 volt)? thanks

See what you're getting for voltage at your amp and set it from that.

You also may want to figure in voltage drop, play the test tone and then see what you get also. My guess would be that you'd need the sub hooked up for this, not quite sure on this one, anyone know?
