bump. i have a rockford 401s. I cant sell it (dads) so could i get an amp that does the same rating or would the subs sound diffrent? If i wired 1 sub to 400w @4 ohm and the other to 400w @ 2ohm would they sound ok (using 2 diffrent amps again). If so then im looking for something that will do 400@ 2 or 4 ohm bridged.

i probably wouldnt do it, because i highly doubt there exactly accurate to eachother..but if the subs are hooked to separte amps i suppose it wouldnt really hurt anything

Do you have 2 different subs or what's going on? I'm not very clear on what you're trying to accomplish

i have 2 12"kicker l5s and 1 kicker 401s. Im not allowed to sell the 401s but i was wondering if i got another amp that does the same ratings as the 401s would it be ok?
