I just bought 4 of them for my 4-10's project, and i just thought i would let all of you know, now that i got mine bought. I bet they will sell out fast now that it's out on this forum, thats a killer deal. They are like the 2000 model, just overstock i guess, not refurbed or used i guess either, someone said they had like 400 in stock a couple days ago. I listened to a new mtx sub today at CC and it sounded pretty decent, and i think it was only like a 5000 or whatever, so i think the 8000 will be pretty nice. Tell me what you think of these subs, especially for the price!

im thinking im gonna order 3 or 4 this weekend. i had my mind set on an 1 12sx, but this is a steal.

what would you rather have 4 10's or the single sx????when the 10's are cheaper... hopefully thell sound good

well the mtx 8000 10" has 58.5 sq. in. of surface area times 4 subs so thats 234sq. in. of surface area, and my other option was a planet audio FU 18" and it has 190.96 in^2, so ill have more surface area at least, but the sensitivity is lower on the mtx's, so im not sure if the single Fu 18" would have been louder or not, but im sure the 4 mtx's will be better for SQ, and rock music scince they are 10's., and they will take up less space, and look cooler i think, and they were less all combined and shipped than the FU would have been, so i chose the 10's

As for 1 12sx, i dont know what would be better, i dont have any experience with RE, but you figure your getting 4 subs for 148$ when those four would have cost you 900$ retail, thats a dammn good deal to me.

i have a hifonics bx1500d thats 1500wattsRMS @ 1 ohm it was only like 225$, and all of those subs will almost be getting their full RMS

thats what i was thinking about, what's it going to be pushing to each one?

any idea as to what enclosure these subs like?

well in theory they should each be getting 375 RMS but the amp is a little overrated, so they might get less.

im still designing an enclosure, i think its gonna be like 4.5 cubes, ported for all 4

i have 3 12" 8000's..im powering them with a mtx 1501d..it sounds good...although the final ohm load would be 2.67 ohm's its actually 2.8 ohm's in my case(tested)..so its gettin less then they could..i picked up mine for 340 shipped...so this is def a good deal....shit.....i might have new subs this weekend...or i could buy 1 more 12...na ...fu ck it...i'll leave it alone

EDIT: i dont feel so bad now, they are svc...i saw some 12's that were svc for like 65 ish...mine are dual 4...hahahahahahahhaha...im just ryin to make myself feel better for not gettin a good price

It doesnt work, I payed $440 for a 15" Eclipse Ti and I feel like poop now. Its been like this for a while so good luck.
