10" Fi Q is in (Video)

Nice, lots of excursion in it. Why didn't you go ported though?
What kind of car is that?
I really wanted to keep as much trunk space as possible, since im starting with a TINY trunk.. Hence why i also went with a single 10" and not a 12"

Its a Infiniti G37

is the rest of your system stock? If so, how does it blend? Does the Q overpower the rest? I'm going to be getting a car (probably a 09 CTS) soon and was wondering how my single Q12 would sound with the stock Bose or whatever is in it.

yep, i have the stock bose system in the car. (its infiniti's upgrade sound system).

The 10" Q matches very well. it is not completely overpowering. you can still hear the highs/vocals perfectly, its not like the bass drowns out everything else. If anything, i would actually like some more output from the 10" but im also use to running a single 15" TC-2000.

can you get any more airspace out of that trunk? sounds like it is lacking in the bottom end on "put on"
you should be able to scream the bottom end!
what do you mean? Because you are correct, it is lacking the bottom end. however, i just assumed thats because it was a 10"

how would i go about gaining more bottom end with this single 10" (the box is already LARGE for the 10" Fi Q). Fi recommends .2-.6cuft

A single 10 can get hella low with some decent output.

Sealed enclosures lack bottom end however. The only way you will get the lower frequencies is to design a ported enclosure and tune it low. It can be a fairly small enclosure to include the .85 you are currently using, but make it extend into the trunk a little more.

Check the vids in my sig. I have 2 10's that reproduce the lows extremely well.

Sub is moving pretty **** good. Add lil less than a pound of polyfill an it might help the low end. Double check the settings on the amp an make sure the sub sonic isnt too high. Or you can try inverting it to gain another .15 cubes.
