Hello, I am wondering if any of you have actually played with 1 vs 2 woofers of the same brand. What I am trying to find out is if you have a 1200 RMS woofer and a 1200 RMS amp, what would the difference be in POTENTIAL spl vs 1 1200 RMS woofer and 2 1200RMS woofers with the SAME 1200 RMS amp. Basically I'm trying to figure out if it's going to be worth the extra money for 2 woofers. The other issue is that my amp is 1 ohm stable and nice woofers such as the RE HC and RE XXX are dual 2 ohm. I have heard that doubling the woofer quantity THEORETICALLY increases the SPL by 3 dB and doubling the power increases the SPL by 3 dB. So wouldn't that mean that if you have 1 woofer with x amount of power, then add another of the same woofer, you would gain 3 db from doubling the woofers but then lose 3 db by giving it 1/2 the power as before?? Any insight would be greatly appreciated ! Thanks
