Alright so my plan is, I'm going to build the box out of mdf and to save weight I'm going to cut almost all the mdf out and just have the edges and front then fiberglass over the box

Should I use 1/2 or 3/4 maybe even. 1/4

Like a big box with just the outline left like windows all around maybe even some slots in the front of it but leaving a lot of the front where the woofer mounts

Do I need to use anything else to help structure ?
