I'm not sure exactly what the airspace of that box is. But I know it's small. Smaller than I wanted. The shop that I hired to do it did not do what I requested at all - not even close - and that is why they gave me the Alpine amp for free, to make up for it This is what I had originally drawn up in AutoCAD - I was going to build it myself but I got impatient waiting for myself to get out and do it so I just decided to go have somebody do it. Do you think this design would be better? This was going to be one complete box instead of two seperate parts, and the space behind the amp was going to be airspace as well to make the box as big as possible. The amp displayed in this drawup was originally the Kicker zx700.5 that I had. And believe me, I've been drooling over those JL Shallow mounts since they were anounced over a year ago. But $400 is just a little steep. And as for how much space I have for between the seat and the sub - since that picture was taken I have taken off the back panel of that seat so it frees up a little more space. I would say there is at least an inch or two of space. I will look into that sub. I just have to worry about mounting depth. Thanks for the tip though.
