Si will have a much bigger aftermarket. Throw a turbo on it and it'll be in 13's easily probably 12's.The new SI's come with the K20A3's?
Yeah they come with the K20. But see I can't throw a turbo on that K20 til AFTER college. So if I get the GTI I can just have a stock turbo to play with. My dad wouldnotice if that Si had a turbo on it. Performance wise the best bet is the GTI if my dad will let me. I've been waiting on the MkV forever. But the Si came out way early compared to the MkV so that's why this is kinda in a tight situation. The Si will be here in 6weeks but since its on such a high demand, we could just get our deposit back (hopefully) and it'd be shipped somewhere else. GOing to look at a Candy White GTI today. I don't want DSG even though it does shift quicker, but I don't like automatic's. Just personal choice. Plus it costs more.

scion faster than an Si??? LOL sorry, ain't happening. tc's can't even run the 1/4 in less than 15 seconds let alone post a 90+ mph trap...
hlsd and 8k rpm redline > your life lol

as a car, i like the si better.... but the gti does look better (even though it doesnt even look great imo)

Okie dokie smart@ss //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I just ran a 14.336 @ 96 and my goal is a 13.99x by the end of the month //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Exact specs... And yeah yeah my rt sucked on this run. That is just with the sc, header, s-pipe and 9.5psi pulley. Lots more mods to come woohoo! All this can be done with a tc for $20,500 if you install the sc yourself. Forgot to add that run was on 1/2 tank of gas and on 18" wheels with not so grippy falken 512's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

r/t = 0448

60' = 2.166

330 = 6.022

1/8th = 9.222

MPH = 79.45

1000' = 11.980

1/4 = 14.336

MPH = 96.20

yes I can beat the crap out of the si or gti with ease in a stupid little scion tc haha. But I would still pick the si between the two of them. GTI can be built at a better hp per doller ratio.

K20Z3

I'd take the VW.. even though I'm a diehard civic fan. As someone else said.. the new styling looks like ***. Plus, get this. Honda pre-released a few dozen of the new Si's to some performance tuning shops (HAsport, TOV, SCC, etc). One of the first things they all did was pull out the engine and throw in the bigger TSX engine (K24).

Besides, the Si is heavier than the old prelude. LAME.
