it on a friends car i never looked at the firewall area. is there any spots that i can go through without drilling or am i gonna have to drill?

There is an unused grommet on the firewall, behind motor towards the right. You can't miss it... Just pop it out or push it through.

how about this... go to your friend's car and POP THE HOOD!!!! Factory grommets tend to be on the passenger side, but it depends on the car where it is really. You can usually see it with a flashlight tho
