Alright i have a dodge ram quad cab and im interested in putting 2 10s under the rear seats but the airspace and depth is limited. I mainly listen to rap/hip-hop Which subs will work best with the following boxes?

Im not sure on the amp yet, so reccomend me some. Im really looking to get a hard hitting system, at least as good as 2 10L7s powered by 2 kicker kx400.1 (my friends setup)

1)http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=50565&item=5853326758

I could get square cutouts here so will L7s work well?

2)If i put a 10" under the center seat, i would have 5 1/4" Top mounting depth. and .65 cubic feet airspace. I can add a spacer if the sub is really deep

3) With a box from musicmooseaudio for under the rear seats, i could fit 2 10s. However, i would get a mounting depth of 7" with .57 cubic feet.

4) http://www.proboxrocks.com/dodge/02upquad.shtml Expensive box but some ppl love it. Not sure, but what would work well?

5) Then theres the mtx thunderform which i could pickup unloaded or loaded with their subs

Thanks

i've built several fiberglass boxes underneath the rear seats for a pair of 10's or 12's. do it right, and there's plenty of mounting depth. the 06's are a little less depth friendly because the seat is about an inch loser than the 05's, but still not an issue. takes about a day and a half to build it, and most of that is just waiting for the glass to kick off.

unless i can get some1 to make me a sick one, which one of the above do u reccoemnd?

i really wanted to run like one 12L7 somehwere but that wont happen. 2 L7s should be great im guessing

it seriously is very, very easy to do. just takes a little patience, and some ventilation. if you want to try building one, just pm me and i'll give you step by step instructions. i've build enough of the things i have it down to a science now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I had a MusicMoose style box in my 2002 QuadCab with a pair of Kicker CVR, and a pair of Peerless XLS10's. The Peerless XLS 10" was a much better choice, and it was designed as a small sealed subwoofer. From what I have listened to and seen... 0.4ft³ is the minimum airspace requirement for that sub.

If I still had the truck, I'd go fiberglass. If it isn't an option for you, pickup a pair of Peerless XLS 10" subs.

The airspace on that first box is 1.7 total I assume split two ways before sub disp. is .85 so after an average subs disp. you are looking at .75 to .8 to work with per sub. I would look for a sub that has a max size sealed box rec. of .85 not a sub that has a min of .85 if I were you. With trucks you lose some of the bottom end that you normally get from cabin gain like a trunk or SUV. I just made a fiberglass ported box for a truck like yours and used an 8 inch version of this sub and it sounds great. Two tens sealed would be awesome.

example depending on amp and power etc.
