Here's my setup and the box (boxes) build. However, the subs are at Fi right now being re-coned into D2's. I also plan on changing out a lot of the current equipment.

The car:

Pioneer HU. Not sure what model, but I don't like it:

Rear battery. It's a 90AH marine deep cycle. Don't worry, i've since covered

the terminals:

Not pictured are the four Kenwood coaxials, 0 gauge big three (thank you Skittles for the ground help), and the Clarion 4-channel.

Here's the new equipment:

Two pairs of Cadence CWM comps:

Sub amps. Audiopipe AP1500.1D's will be replacing a pair of Planet Audio VX1400D's. They'll be strapped at 2 ohms:

Hang on. Subs and box build pics in a second.

Fi 18" SSD's. I bought one to start with that a silver logo. Then bought another and had the old one re-coned into a dual 1 ohm so that I could run the pair on one amp. I decided to strap a pair of Planet Audio VX's, but there is something wrong with them, so I bought the AP's. That's why the dust caps are silver to start and then blue. They'll be white in the video when I get the subs back. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

New sub and re-coned sub with the VX's:

I designed and built the boxes. They're separate for ease of install. 8 cubes at 33hz with 120 sqin of port area. Here's a Sketchup. I didn't build the baffle exactly as it looks in the Sketchup, even though it looks weird:

These boxes sounded great, but I screwed up one of the coils when a terminal on the box came loose. Lesson learned. I figured now was the time to re-cone both to drop the impedence.

The build. Lumber:

Intermission. These things were supposed be temporary, so they're not "finished." And the reason for the odd shape is because there was no choice. They were either wedged, or not a full 8 cubes. These things ended up being over 10 cubes gross.

I have them disconnected in this pic because I had just taken them out and the problem I mentioned earlier was that the amps have a severe on/off "pop." I tried everything from a turn-on delay to new grounds. These amps have done this in other cars, so I know that it's not the install. Also, I recently read that it could be a problem with the board. Whatever.

Old setup. L515. Slammed on six hundred watts:

The subs won't be here until next week. I don't have any pics of the subs installed because I forgot to get some pics. Yes the build took place in my kitchen because it's over 100 degrees outside and my garage is not air conditioned.

I promise vids as soon as the subs get here.

Also, I have an old join date, but i've searched a lot and appreciate the build logs.

im lovin it man. the model for that pioneer HU is the number just under where it says "TUES"

i dunno if you figured out how to get that dash all the way off but i never could so i cut it in half lol. rite down that line to the left of the HU. makes it SO much easier to take off and it doesnt look bad. ill get you pics when i get a new camera. lost mine in hawaii 2 weeks ago =/
