jl amp burnt

My JL j2 1000.1 has been burning all my fuses and started to smell funky so I took the back cover off and there seems to be something wrong inside. Attached is pictures of the inside of the amp. I was wondering if any of you could tell me what this cylinder is. It seems like it has been burnt...
