blown speakers

I have 2 1200watt skar audio subs. My buddy miswired them I believe when first installed and wired just a (+,-) from each subwoofer(4ohm) and ran it to the amp. It was played a total of an hour max closer to 45 min of actual play time. I wired them now correctly I believe 4ohm to a 1 ohm load...
