80prs vs p80rs

Hi Guys, I just bought pioneer 80prs and before that i had pioneer p80rs. My question is why do i experience night and day difference between them. The sound quality of a head unit launched in 2006 is way better than a unit launched in 2012. Both are 5v head units. Both have the same 24 bit...
