I have a flame series aw1006-t (10", dvc, alum cone) that will go into this enclosure. I'll let you know how it sounds when everything's finished.

Thanks for the compliments everybody! I honestly learned everything I know about fiberglassing from this site, and I appreciate the great resource! I feel like I can bondo/sand by myself. What kind of sander would I need for this?

LOL! True, that's what I reeeeaallly want to do. I don't know much about sanding/painting, so should I take it to a pro? What would be a price range for something this size? Thanks for the help!

Thanks guys! I'll definitely post pics of the progress as it happens. One thing I can't decide on, how should I cover it? I'd prefer to match it to my car color, but that would take a ton of effort and time. Another idea is to cover it with black carpet. Let me get some opinions!

Hey everyone, I've been working on a project for my audiobahn aw1006-t to fire into. The sub will be inverted, and the cone will be visible through 0.5" thick plexi. Here's the wood frame...

Good links dbfan! I'm going to do some more research before I make my decision about this.

The only problem is that I'm pretty much having to guestimate the air space because the enclosure is going to be WAY too curvy to use trig to figure out volume. It arches in the center up to the sub, and only touches the trunk floor at the far left and right. Why would the unpowered sub sound...

Does anyone have an idea on this? Surely I'm not the first to think of having a switchable sealed/ported box...am I???

The only thing I know to tell you is I've only seen polyfill used in sealed boxes. You should definitely enjoy your Kickers...I have had a Comp vr 8 for the longest time now and have loved it!
