i thought the same thing so i switched the left and right speaker in my dash and it made no difference at all...

i put in a hu but still stock speakers. no amp. i don't notice them cutting OFF when i hit a bump but if they're already off they do tend to come back ON with one. All i know is that my 2 right speakers in my 04 jeep wrangler will cut in and out at random times. Would this just be a short somewhere in the wiring? And what do i need to do to find it? Is is just easier to run new wire when i get my new speakers?
